An incredibly productive and historic visit to Nanning City is paving the way for a cleaner, safer, and more technologically advanced Banjul!
Our delegation has been immersed in fruitful collaborations, exploring tangible solutions for our city:
– Waste to Energy: We toured the award-winning Nanning Waste Incineration Plant, a model of zero-waste operations and clean energy generation.
This is a prime example for our goal of a sustainably cleaner Banjul.
– Youth Empowerment and Training:
We held strategic meetings with the Nanning Vocational and Technical Institute to advance a partnership that will provide vital skills training for hundreds of young Gambians in the tech field.
– Banjul Safe City Project:
To support this ambitious initiative, we visited the Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction. We’re building on their existing partnership with the University of Science, Engineering and Technology to bring state-of-the-art facilities and knowledge to our technicians and engineers.
– Solving Urban Parking:
We explored innovative parking solutions with Guangxi Urban-Rural Planning and Design. It’s clear that with the right partners and planning, we can overcome land constraints with smart, economy-boosting projects.
This visit proves what is possible through sincere, purpose-driven partnerships. I am excited about the endless possibilities for the people of Banjul and thank my teams in both cities for their tireless work. Soon, we will unveil new opportunities for our young and energetic population.
This is just the beginning of greater collaboration between our cities!
Waa Banjul kotanaa! jerejef, alabaraka, jarrama, thank you, merci!!
