As part of Banjul City Council’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming city, we are pleased to announce that our newly approved daily-paid workers have officially commenced their duties in the Commercial Area. These dedicated workers, approved by the Establishment Committee, began their night shifts last evening and will continue to work daily to ensure that all streets, markets, and commercial spaces remain tidy, hygienic, and presentable for residents, business owners, and visitors.

This initiative is a reflection of our dedication to public hygiene, environmental responsibility, and the overall improvement of the city’s image. By maintaining a cleaner environment, we not only protect public health but also create a more pleasant and professional atmosphere for commerce and daily life in Banjul.

We strongly encourage all shopkeepers, traders, and business owners in the Commercial Area to support this effort by making proper use of the bins provided by the Council, keeping their surroundings free of litter, and participating actively in this shared responsibility.
