In the spirit of compassion and solidarity, Banjul City Council has procured and distributed 100 bags of sugar (50kg each) to support families across the city during this sacred month of Ramadan.
On behalf of the Lord Mayoress and the Council, the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Abdou Aziz Dabakh Gaye, officially handed over the consignment to the Chairman of the Religious, Sport, Culture, Women, and Youth Affairs Committee, Cllr. Pa Mamud Ceesay, who represented all Councillors, in the presence of the CEO.
This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to uplifting our communities. With the support of our dedicated Councillors, these 100 bags of sugar will be distributed across all wards, ensuring they reach those who need them most. We commend the Committee Chairman for his leadership and dedication in coordinating this effort.
As we embrace this holy month, may it be a time of reflection, generosity, and unity for all.
