The Banjul City Council is delighted to announce that its Acting Director of Planning, Mr. Bisenty Bass, is currently representing the Council and the City of Banjul at the Seminar on Small Hydropower Development and Green Industrial Transition for Developing Countries, taking place in the Peopleโs Republic of China from 17th to 30th October 2025.
The seminar, organized by the National Research Institute for Rural Electrification (NRIRE), Ministry of Water Resources, Hangzhou Regional Center (Asia-Pacific) for Small Hydropower, brings together participants from developing nations to explore innovative pathways for sustainable energy, environmental protection, and industrial transformation.
This international platform aims to strengthen technical cooperation, enhance knowledge exchange, and support developing cities in advancing cleaner, greener, and more efficient development models goals that align closely with Banjul City Councilโs ongoing commitment to sustainability and climate resilience.
The Council extends its gratitude to the Peopleโs Republic of China for its continued partnership and for facilitating capacity-building initiatives that contribute to our collective development efforts.
