Today, I visited the site where Council is setting up a dedicated internal vehicle car wash facility, designed primarily for our waste management fleet. Equipped with brand-new washing equipment and operated by assigned personnel, the facility will be housed within our premises and is set to commence operations very soon.
This initiative is not only about maintaining our fleet, it is about protecting the investment made in brand-new waste vehicles, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring hygiene and environmental safety. By washing and servicing these vehicles regularly in-house, the Council reduces costs, extends vehicle lifespan, and ensures that waste trucks on Banjulโ€™s roads reflect the standards of cleanliness and professionalism we want for our city.
This development marks another step in strengthening Banjulโ€™s sanitation systems, improving service delivery, and safeguarding the cleanliness and dignity of the capital.
